He came back! Geococcyx californianus, the Greater Roadrunner, paid me another visit today. The first three shots were taken through my screen/storm door, and the rest through the dining room window.
Can you tell the photographer was a little overexcited?
OK, let’s try standing on a chair. Please don’t move, Bird.
Yep — he’s that fast.
The white and orange behind his eye identifies him as an adult male.
Thanks, Bird. You made my day!

Yay! You got pictures of the roadrunner (Hot-rodicus supersonicus)and you didn’t require a rocket, an anvil or jet powered roller skates. He’s really cool! I hope you see more of him.

I was looking for the cloud of dust he leaves behind as he runs off….
How fun to see these wonders of your little new world!

Cool beans Leon. That acme camera IS working. You need to teach the cayote a thing or two.

Oh how cool! Now that would make my day but we don’t have those here in Indiana. I love your sense of humor with ‘now you see him’ and now you don’t’ 🙂
